About Scot Miller's Presentation
Photographer/videographer Scot Miller talks about his experiences creating and selecting the photographs for My First Summer in the Sierra: 100th Anniversary Illustrated Edition, a new edition of John Muir's classic, published in collaboration with Yosemite Conservancy. He will also screen a short documentary “Experiencing John Muir’s Sierra: A Photographer’s Story,” present addiitonal video clips & slides, and take questions from the audience.
After the presentation, Miller will sign copies of My First Summer in the Sierra: 100th Anniversary Illustrated Edition.

Scot’s documentary, “Experiencing John Muir’s Sierra: A Photographer’s Story,” will also be screened. Screenings will be followed by a book signing and reception.

As part of the Concord Festival of Authors, the Walden Woods Project is hosting an evening program by photographer/videographer Scot Miller. Scot will talk about his experiences creating and selecting the photographs for My First Summer in the Sierra: 100th Anniversary Illustrated Edition, a new edition of John Muir's classic, published in collaboration with Yosemite Conservancy. He will also screen a short documentary “Experiencing John Muir’s Sierra: A Photographer’s Story,” present additional video clips & slides, including a video about the proposed Maine Woods National Park (Scot has been photographing in the Maine Woods for the past six years), and take questions from the audience.
After the presentation, Scot will sign copies of My First Summer in the Sierra: 100th Anniversary Illustrated Edition plus his illustrated editions of Thoreau's Walden and Cape Cod.
